I realize that this is a blog of mostly my wedding work, but I can’t help myself sometimes when I have a blast at a photo shoot! :) Here are a few shots from a shoot I did at a floral shop for an online magazine. It was an Elizabethan theme hence the big hair that I styled ;)

So I had the wonderful pleasure of working with a bride from France! It was so lovely to see her style exude in every detail from the wedding gown right down to the centerpieces. I travelled to Bainbridge Island to be a part of the adventure and was it fun! Here are a few shots the bride sent me.

Angela’s wedding day has got to be one of the most memorable ones I’ve ever been a part of. Mostly because of her family’s love of Disney. Yes, I said Disney. For her bachelorette party all of the ladies dressed up as Disney princess’ and painted the town red! On her big day they played all of the Disney songs I loved as a kid as they primped and laughed. I would be lying if I said I didn’t sing along that day. I mean really, how can you hear a Disney song and not be happy?? There was so much happy energy flowing that one would have thought our hotel room had become the happiest place on earth. Here are some photos of the Angela and David’s happiest day… (makeup, of course, was by moi ;)

Ladies, I know there are many of you out there that grow your hair out for your wedding. The trouble is some of you don’t know when to stop! I can’t tell you how many lovely ladies I see with very long hair but with extremely frayed ends :/ It certainly does not make for great bridal hair. I’m here to make you stop the madness!! We don’t need 12 feet of hair to work with, honey :)

In fact, you can easily maintain the length of your hair AND clean up the ends with a simple trim. Work with your hairdresser towards achieving that perfect wedding day do! Make sure to communicate that you WANT LENGTH and not any of the fried stuff on the ends :) And please, keep the layering to a minimum. As your wedding day approaches you will have the long locks you desire and your bridal hairdresser won’t be having to work double duty to camouflage those split ends. Next stop ahead… long, lovely hair!!

Now see… it wasn’t that painful.

Margaret & Marco

Margaret and Marco got hitched in the most unique setting I’ve ever seen… The Seattle Aquarium! It was such a beautiful day for the perfect wedding. Even the fish looked happy! Margaret and her three sisters were T.O.F (tons of fun!). They looked amazingly sassy in their red dresses as did Margaret in her Lazaro gown. I felt like part of the family by the end of the day. Here are few snippets from the fun group. Two words sum them up: smart and gorgeous!

The holidays are always such a joyous time for me! I love the lights, the snow, and the loving energy that fills the air. The holidays are also a time when the most engagements happen! I just want to congratulate all of you out there who were recently engaged over this beautiful holiday season. It is such a special time for the both of you, so don’t forget to take a moment every now and then to slow down and just enjoy it. Which reminds me of one of my favorite quotes!!

“Come grow old with me. The best is yet to be.”

:)

Judy and Darren had the most beautiful engagement session at Kubota Gardens! Since I still consider myself a newbie to Seattle it was so nice to discover this amazing place. Seattle really has some awesome gems! Whether it be an engagement session or your actual wedding, I highly recommend this beautiful place as a backdrop for anything.

The day was captured by one of the most amazing photographers I’ve ever worked with…

Ariel Sencil at www.asencilimaging.com

With his amazing vision to capture the right moment and his mastery of light, it’s no wonder the photos came out amazing. He even made ME look good in the behind the scene shots! :) Thanks Ariel!

Brides, it’s your big day so it’s okay to be picky about your hair. Up or down? Up or down? I’m sure you’ve already taken the “Up or Down Hair Poll” within your circle of friends, family, and maybe even neighbors. My advice is… go with what you feel comfortable with. If you don’t normally wear your hair up and like it better down, chances are you’ll feel very awkward with it all up. On the other hand, if you want the amazing, once in a lifetime look, then by all means knock yourself out. It’s just important to find a hairstylist (like me :) that will listen patiently and try various styles til you’re in love with you new wedding hair. Here are some popular long wedding hair favorites. Besos!

Attention brides to be! If you’re getting married this Fall/Winter between Oct 2009-March 2010 please take a look at our DEALS! It’s the same great service, just at a discounted price!
